Innovative lightweight construction meets emission-free mobility: together with renowned brands such as KTM and KISKA, we are developing as a project partner an innovative concept for e-mobility on two wheels. The project called EMotion, which will run until 2023, is led by the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) and funded by the Climate and Energy Fund (KLIEN) with Euro 3 million. The total project volume is Euro 6.3 million.
In urban environments especially, energy-efficient e-scooters are considered an environmentally and climate-friendly alternative to cars for all generations. Due to their low weight, they offer a particularly resource-saving driving performance and leave a comparatively small ecological footprint in daily commuting. And they will soon be able to do much more: a user-centred human-machine interface, an integrated information system and a completely new mobility experience await drivers.
Numerica is accompanying the EMotion project in the direction of the future. Our core tasks are structural-mechanical analyses for the optimisation of lightweight components and the aerodynamic simulation of the airflow around the vehicle. Less weight and more comfort: the new mobility is on its way.
